Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar – Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, and Prof. Dr. Ghada Ismail – Secretary of the Supreme Committee for Infection Control in University Hospitals, the staff of infection control units in university hospitals and the Reference Laboratory were honored in appreciation of their efforts throughout 2021 in combating the novel Coronavirus. Their dedication in the field of infection control had a significant impact on improving the quality of medical services in university hospitals. This recognition took place during the final day of infection control events at university hospitals held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Cairo. Additionally, a series of reports and scientific lectures were presented in the same context.
